[Peninsula-Patriots] stop U.S. Constitutional Convention - Action needed.

Patriots:  Time for some education.  Please consider Sue Long's suggestion and take action asap.

Why risk taking our guns and perhaps losing the battle -  if they can take over our country  by passing legislation piece by piece - as they have been doing successfully for some time ?

 

A case in point is that there is a bill calling for a constitutional convention in order to get a Balanced Budget Amendment that has been filed  in the Virginia General Assembly. HJR No. 565 - Prefilled Dec 10, 2012 

 

As you know a con con is not a good idea and in this case , even the proposed amendment is not a good idea.

 

First off - why should we think that our legislators would follow that part of the constitution when they don't honor and follow the rest of it?

 

And, if they happened to do so, and couldn't agree on spending cuts, then it would be mandatory to raise taxes. 

 

If they followed the Constitution in the first place we would have a balanced budget.

Please contact your legislators and also those listed below and explain why a Con Con is not a good idea.
