I'm sure this can easily be verified. It coordinates with the same information I have been receiving and what we discussed at our last Patriot meeting on Sept 17th regarding Obamacare.
RuthAnyone familiar with this?? : Monday, September 24, 2012 1:59 PM Subject: FW: [ Emory Hospital, Atlanta......reliable] VERY IMPORTANT....PLEASE READ "I was talking last night (Sunday) with my son-in-law's brother who is a Neurosurgeon at Emory Hospital in Atlanta , which, if you are not familiar with it, ranks up there with the finest hospitals in the country. A group of non-doctors, from 'our' (????) country's Department of Health arrived last week at Emory for a two day session and is on their rounds around the country to make sure every hospital fully understands the new rules (which start in December (after the elections) concerning treating all patients over 70 years of age. You heard of the death squads early on after Obamacare was passed and many people claimed it was not true and that people were misquoting what was in the bill. Well if you believed this you are wrong. DEAD WRONG! This group informed the staff Emory and all the doctors present that they will very soon not be allowed to operate on anyone over 70 (no matter how urgent or life threatening the situation is), without first having it approved by a board of eight doctors. Failure to comply will result in a huge financial burden to the hospital and more than likely the doctor will lose his/her ability to practice medicine anywhere in the country. This board is to be established at every hospital in the country and the board members will only work eight hours a day. We will discuss this a little later on as the DOH group almost got lynched at this point by the doctors who were present. This board of doctors will not be made up of active doctors. All the doctors must be retired - and may even be retired up to 30 or 40 years. Further, Obamacare sees no need or requirement for them to be skilled in surgery. Another very vocal argument broke out here as these doctors likely may not even be aware of what advancements have taken place in surgery over the last 5-10 years nor what is going today as well. Also, anyone who has ever been a doctor can serve on these boards. For example, Individuals with skills only in pediatrics, podiatry, dermatology, etc., may be making decisions as to whether a brain operation is required or not. The point that got the Emory doctors so upset originally was that the "Death Board" will be available only 8 hours during the day. And once their 8 hour shift is up, they may have to wait 16 hours to get in touch with them and another hour or two or three to get a decision and permission to operate. But they daily have cases in which it is crucial to operate within 30 minutes. The staff at Emory Hospital will be coordinating with other hospitals and together they will make a concerted effort to bring about significant changes to this portion of Obamacare. When the question was raised from the floor by a young doctor as to whether doctors had to get permission to operate on congressmen and/or future members of the executive branch who would later be over 70, the answer was, "Of course not!" When the same young doctor asked, "Why not." They refused to answer."

Dear Friends,

In the Presidential election of 2008, Northern Virginia saw about 80% voter turnout. It was only 67% in southwest Virginia. I don't think the Virginians hardest hit by Obama's presidency are going to let that happen again.

Everyone is a stakeholder in this election, but for my fellow Virginians in Southwest and Southside, their livelihoods are at stake.

The coal industry is facing a direct assault from the Obama administration. That fact was illustrated on Tuesday when Virginia's largest coal company, Alpha Natural Resources, had to lay off 10% of its workforce and close down 8 mines, 3 or which are right here in Virginia.

There are several factors that led to Alpha's decision: over-regulation (including illegal over-regulation) by the EPA, increasing competition for electricity generation from natural gas, and an Obama economy that isn't growing and is plagued with uncertainty.

The EPA - which I like to refer to as the Employment Prevention Agency - is so out of control that they are even trying to regulate water as a pollutant under the Clean Water Act. If that sounds crazy, it is. Even the Democrat-heavy Fairfax County Board of Supervisors agrees with me that this is an egregious overstep of the Federal government.

Many companies are waiting to make important decisions about expanding until after November 6th, hoping they'll get a clearer picture of where their regulatory burden is headed. President Obama and Governor Romney have expressed clear visions of which direction they would take the country. More regulations with President Obama, especially when he gets more "flexibility" after the election. Less regulations with Governor Romney.

This week I got the opportunity to tour a brand new hybrid power plant in Wise County, Virginia. The plant is by far the cleanest coal plant in the country. It provides hundreds of well-paying, permanent jobs in a region that has been hardest hit during the economic slowdown.

If President Obama has his way, the Wise County power plant will be the last coal-fired power plant built in the country. This policy is foolish and disregards a viable source of energy. The new technology used is much more efficient and produces substantially less emissions than older plants built in the 1960s and 70s. Obama's (often illegal) assault on coal has already given us higher electricity prices and destroyed jobs.

In northern Virginia we have a pretty diversified economy — if one industry failed it would be a setback, but it wouldn't bring the region to a halt. That is not the case in southwest Virginia. That pizza joint in Wise doesn't exist without coal.

Obama says he has an "all of the above energy policy." I'd like to see him tell that to these families that are struggling to get by. These are hardworking people that take pride in their honest work and do not want to depend on the government—they just want the government to get out of their way!

This week I met with GOP and Tea Party groups from Bristol to Roanoke. They are committed to defending their jobs and promoting policies that get us back to free markets. They're not going to have a repeat of the low voter turnout this time. This election is too important. It means their job. It's for their family. It's for our future.

In the small amount of downtime I had while traveling around southwest I was able to make it into the Hokie Victory office in Blacksburg. I think we can all find some time in our schedule to help out. Every hour counts. Every phone call is an opportunity to swing a vote.

This election may not be decided by one vote, but it might be! I won my last state senate race in a recount - I know personally that every vote counts. Please join me in supporting both the Romney/Ryan ticket and George Allen's Senate campaign. Please work every free moment to elect them into office.

[Peninsula-Patriots] Campaign efforts/Activism group

As a result of the formation of a campaign activism group at the regular meeting last Monday, ten Peninsula Patriots met yesterday to plan activities to inspire, motivate & educate voters. These activities were proposed and will be posted on our Meet-up site and Facebook page. Get involved when and where you can!

Romney signs are not yet available so hand-made signs are being made asap.
Empty chairs are being used to symbolize the lack of leadership in the Executive Office.
Prizes (gift certificates or cash) will be awarded to Pen Pats who have positive letters published before the election.
A demonstration protesting Obamacare is being planned for the Gloucester Courthouse at 11 AM on September 29
The Romney/Ryan ticket, not the Peninsula Patriot organization, will be promoted.
Members are encouraged to support other organizations in getting out the vote through personal and door-to-door contacts, telephone contacts, etc. (Bishop Jackson, American Family Assoc., Republican Party, Romney Victory Center, Richmond Tea Party, etc.)

We need to remember to be factual, sincere, and respectful in all of these endeavors. Remember, we are trying to WIN converts! We are not fighting a WAR where we want to DESTROY some enemy! We need to seek out and develop allies in this mission!

[Peninsula-Patriots] How UN Agenda 21 will effect you

Over the last two years or so I have tried to get people to understand how UN Agenda 21 is stripping away their property rights and freedom and leading America and other nations into a one world government. The driving force behind this is radical environmentalism. The sad truth is, the average citizen on the street knows little or nothing at all about it. However, over the past few months more and more national organizations are beginning to speak out against it. The National Republican Convention as well as numerous states have drafted resolutions against it. Hopefully in time more and more people will become better informed and begin putting pressure on local, state and federal governments to remove funding for anything related to it. The following short video is excellent in showing just how radical environmentalism took a very different path away from good stewardship environmentalism which can be supported by everyone. I read in last week's G-J (Page 8-A) that the AARP is holding a "listening session' this Wednesday (Sept 19) at the Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News (Ed and Health Resource Center, Auditorium A, 2 Bernardine Drive, Newport News) from 10 am until noon to 'learn about the proposals being considered for the future of Medicare and voice their opinions on those options.' For further information readers are referred to two sites: http://www.earnedasay.org/ and www.aarp.org/va

It is implied that the AARP is going to be LISTENING, but I suspect it will be the other way around. I could be wrong - BUT I think we need to see! I suspect they are using the occasion to trash Republican efforts at reform and promote Obama! We need to see! Please, if you are available Wednesday, let's go to be sure responsible, conservative ideas are shared as well!

Federal Government Invests in MASDAR

Economic, Environmental and Social Progress

In 2008, Barrack Obama proclaimed the fundamental change of America. In 2012, his campaign slogan is "Forward". What does that mean? Where is Americain 2030?

As Americans fight over the rich paying their fair share, reducing social programs like Social Security and Medicare and reducing our military, our federal tax money is being spent in Abu Dhabi.

With the push for Smart Growth, Sustainable Development, Comprehensive Planning and now the funding of MASDAR (an Abu Dhabi program), they have given us a glimpse of their vision.

Hilary Clinton provided this glimpse during a speech in the Middle East.

This is a partnership between the governments of "United States and Abu Dhabi around renewable energy, and climate change and sustainable development that takes advantage of Human Capital." (0:13)

What is MASDAR?

The World's First Sustainable City!

On February 8, 2008, the Government of Abu Dhabi launched an ambitious plan to create the World's Sustainable City...MASDAR City.

MASDAR will be Zero Waste, Zero Carbon and a Fossil Fuel Free city. (1:00). They will eliminate the fossil fuel automobile..and have pedestrian only streets (1:07)

The goal is to have the highest quality of life with the lowest environmental impact.
