Re: [Peninsula-Patriots] Post election Tea Party

I think there will always be a need for a Tea Party like group to be in the wings so to speak and make sure that those elected keep their promises and make this country great and free and prosperous....I believe everyone should get their own wealth and if folks want to help them get there, that would be great....such as teaching and mentoring them as they try to succeed in a new business..I personally like the ethics and manners of people in the Tea Party.  they clean up and work hard for their causes....     I would like to see some image readjustment for the Tea Party by publicizing things that we do to help and educate...   Long Live the Tea Party!!!!!           GOD BLESS YOU!         nancy

From the Tea Party Command Center comes this.

Let's face it, we've come a LONG way from our humble beginnings but do you feel the Tea Party has more to do after the election?  Mitt was not the candidate we wanted....many up for election are not Constitutional Conservatives, but we will vote for the Republican vs. the Socialist/Communists on November 6th.  If the Republicans win big on election day, they have us to thank.  They don't think so, but they do.
I was speaking with someone today who suggested we assign people to monitor all the new incoming Republicans for adherence to the Constitution.  Should we do that?
Do we follow every bill coming up and all actions of Congress, POTUS and the Supreme Court for adherence to the Constitution?
I think we will be even more important and necessary after the election.  We will have to hold Washington's feet to the fire.   The sleeping giant CAN NOT go back to sleep.  None of our goals will be met by electing Mitt Romney.  We still have Agenda 21 in play, we still have illegal immigration on the table, the UN is coming on our soil to 'monitor our elections', the budget isn't balance, we owe trillions and post election will not be a time to kick back and say, we did a good job.  No, we started a good thing that has to perpetuate through the remainder of our lives.  A brief break?  Can't happen, folks.  If Obama loses, what do you think he will try to 'executive order' during a lame duck session?
I think if you are involved now, you will be needed forever.

York County Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee presents "Kiss My Little Girls - 1861"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The York County Civil War Sesquicentennial Committee in association with Robert Ruffin productions proudly presents "Kiss My Little Girls – 1861" by Robert Ruffin with Jeff Toalson, as part of the American Civil War Sesquicentennial Commemoration. Performances are scheduled for November 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17 at 7:30 p.m. and November 11 and 12 at 2 p.m. in the Freight Shed, 331 Water Street, Yorktown. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased online at www.bootsandkisses.com or by calling 766-2309.
The play is based on Jeff Toalson's book, "Send Me a Pair of Old Boots and Kiss My Little Girls," which documents the real-life letters written between husband and wife Richard and Mary Watkins of Prince Edward County, Virginia throughout the course of the Civil War.
"Kiss My Little Girls – 1861" is the first installment in an intended four-part series following the lives of Richard and Mary Watkins. It premiered in Gloucester, Virginia, in October 2011, with sell-out performances. The second installment will premiere in Gloucester beginning December 6, 2012.
"Kiss My Little Girls – 1861" stars Robert Ruffin, a professional actor and a native of Mathews County, Virginia, and Cynthia Janzen, a professional actress from Philadelphia. The play is directed by Mary Wadkins of Mathews, Virginia, and features the set and lighting designs of Matthew Allar, Associate Professor of Theatre at The College of William and Mary, and costume designs of Cynthia Janzen, owner of the museum theatre company History Firsthand. The production is stage managed by Allison Antonelli of Newport News.
Original funding for the play was made possible by The Cook Foundation of Gloucester, Virginia, The Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Yorktown production is made possible by 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union; Digital Design & Imaging Service, Inc.; Ferguson Enterprises; Peninsula Campaign Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy; York County; York County Arts Commission; York County Historical Museum; York County Historical Committee; AVPC, Inc; Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop/Green Mountain Coffee; and Just Plumbing.
