Meet Our Winning Matters 2013 Team

This year, Virginia is the only state in the nation with competitive statewide elections.  In November, Virginians will be voting for a new Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General.  Additionally, all 100 members of the House of Delegates are also up for election.  Typically, there is a vast difference in the positions that candidates take on issues important to Christians and this year will be no different.

Too often, whether because of apathy or lack of education on the issues and candidates, those with a biblical worldview fail to show up at the polls on Election Day.  This is especially true in Virginia where we elect our state-level candidates in the odd years.  For this reason, The Family Foundation and our sister organization, The Family Foundation Action are pleased to announce Winning Matters 2013, a four-step action plan to make sure that people of faith are educated, registered and motivated to vote their values on November 5th. The four components of Winning Matters 2013 are:

1)    Identify more Virginians who share our values.

2)    Turn concerned citizens into value-voting Virginians by registering them.

3)    Educate registered voters on the differences between candidates on matters of life, marriage, parental authority, religious liberty and constitutional government.

4)    Motivate and mobilize these informed voters to make a wise choice and vote on Election Day.

To help us accomplish these goals, we have hired a Project Manager and four Area Coordinators to work in the Northern Virginia, Richmond and Tidewater areas.  If you live in one of these areas, their contact information is provided below.  Please email them and let them know you would like to help.

David Moxley is our Winning Matters 2013 Project Manager and will be overseeing the effort between now and Election Day.  David is a native of Virginia and a graduate of Roanoke College, where he studied international relations. David brings significant event, media, business, and personnel management experience from his pursuits in the hospitality industry. David is thrilled for the opportunity to utilize his particular skillset and Christian faith to serve the families of the Commonwealth. David is a resident of Manassas, Virginia where he attends Manassas Baptist Church.
