Watson Williamsburg, Virginia Beginning Friday January 10th, Williamsburg's Radio Station WMBG AM 740 will host a new segment entitled "Light and Liberty - A Legislative Update' to be hosted by The Honorable Mike Watson, former Delegate of Virginia's 93rd District. This 10 minute drive-time segment will air each Friday at 4:00 pm following the AP news report throughout the 8-week General Assembly Session and will offer an unbiased look at some of the proceedings and legislation that is most likely to affect the station's listening area which includes Williamsburg, James City County, York County, New Kent County, Charles City County, Gloucester and parts of Newport News. It will also cover some of the most consequential issues affecting Virginia as a whole. "Delegate Watson can offer a unique, inside analysis of the General Assembly proceedings and provide a clear unbiased explanation of the arguments on both sides of the most debated bills, highlighting the impact each may have on our region" said WMBG Station Manager, Greg Granger. The segment will be broken into two parts, first explaining some of the procedural and interesting facts that make Virginia's General Assembly unique, and a second that will break down a variety of proposed legislation so that listeners can learn its intent and arguments from both sides. "I see this as an opportunity to enlighten the listeners who are interested in the details of legislation that will directly affect them rather than just headlines and campaign rhetoric", said Watson.
