Jamie Radtke has established a record of being a principled conservative and consensus builder with a passion for fighting to maintain the Founders' vision for our country.
As someone who grew up in a military family, Jamie's love for and dedication to America were instilled at a very young age. Her dad was an F-4 fighter pilot in the Air Force. Jamie's dad served at a NATO/ATOC base in Kalkar, West Germany where she experienced up close and personal the realities of the Cold War. As her dad participated in war games—often disappearing for days at a time in a bunker—Jamie learned the fears an unstable world creates, and the importance of facing those fears as an individual, a family, and a nation.
As she grew up, Jamie's parents taught her a strong work ethic and the value of a dollar, expecting her to ultimately become self-sufficient and manage her own needs. At the age of 14, Jamie worked her first job at a fast food chain which allowed her to ultimately pay for her car insurance and gas—the beginnings of a life of financial freedom.
In 1995, Jamie graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Government. Her first exposure to politics came that same year when she worked for the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by Senator Jesse Helms.  During her tenure there, this committee sought to abolish or consolidate three separate federal agencies to eliminate some of the bureaucracy and redundancy of the federal government.
Jamie received her Master of Public Policy from The College of William and Mary in 1998. After graduate school she spent two years at American Management Systems consulting to the Virginia Department of Taxation to help make their daily operations more efficient and cost effective.
In 2004, Jamie went to work for Virginia Conservative Action PAC as Political and Grassroots Director, where she focused on challenging Republicans who had strayed from conservative principles, choosing a path of irresponsible spending, unprecedented tax increases, and massive expansion of state government. Jamie left VCAP in 2007 to start her own business, Sovereign Consulting, where she ran local campaigns and won against incumbents and moderate Republicans.
In 2009, Jamie was swept up in the spontaneous grassroots movement reshaping the entire political landscape in America: the Tea Party. She became the President of Richmond Tea Party and Chairwoman of the Federation of Virginia Tea Party Patriots, which was recently described as "the most advanced of any in the country" by the Wall Street Journal, in large part due to Jamie's leadership. As a result of her hard work in advancing the core principles of constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, free markets, and virtue and accountability, her success has been recognized in a variety of ways. She received the National Sam Adams Alliance Award for the Tea Party, which honors the country's finest in citizen leadership and political activism; she was one of 20 conservative women highlighted in the recent Citizens United documentary Fire from the Heartland for her work to improve America; she was named by Style Weekly as one of Richmond's Top 40 Under 40; and she has repeatedly interviewed with local and national media outlets, including FOX News, the Wall Street Journal, and the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
As someone who has dedicated 10 years mobilizing the conservative grassroots, she finds the Tea Party movement invigorating and inspiring, and she intends to harness its energy and growing influence in making her first run for political office. It has always been her passion to energize the grassroots into restoring our Commonwealth and country to a government that is restrained, works for the people, adheres to the Constitution, respects individual liberty, and is populated with virtuous leaders. For too long, we have allowed self-serving and professional politicians in Washington, D.C. to destroy our national integrity and our children's future.

As a mom, a wife, a woman of faith, and a lover of America and her people, Jamie will bring a fresh perspective to the federal government and a promise to do all she can to help restore America to the founding principles that made her the greatest nation the planet has known.
Jamie and her husband, John, married in 1999 and now have three children—Abigail (age 8), Sarah (age 7), and Luke (age 4)—all of whom Jamie homeschools. Believing deeply in the importance of the family unit, she is a dedicated wife and mother, working hard to teach her children those same values she received from her parents that empowered her to enjoy a successful professional and personal life.
When not doing all she can to hold elected leaders accountable, Jamie enjoys family vacations, skiing, fishing, and reading. Jamie and her family attend Parkway Baptist Church.
